Position Title: Lifeguard Nurse Employment Status: Part-time (16 to 20 hours a week) Work from home position.

Supported by 24/7 monitoring from our alert center, Lifeguard offers a unique service that enhances clients' safety and confidence in living independently. Additionally, it can provide family members with better insights into their loved one’s lifestyle and alerts them to any noteworthy changes that require attention. Position Overview: As a Lifeguard Nurse, you will play a unique and impactful role in supporting older adults aging safely at home. Unlike traditional bedside or direct-care nursing roles, this position focuses on proactive wellness oversight, early identification of potential concerns, and meaningful communication with clients, families, and care partners.
 
Using insights generated through Lifeguard’s technology platform, you will review wellness trends, identify changes in routine or behavior, and create client-facing Wellness Reports that support health promotion and preventive care. You will act as a trusted liaison between technology, clients, families, and the broader Lifeguard team—always prioritizing client well-being, dignity, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
Wellness Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Review and interpret wellness insights generated through the Lifeguard platform.
  • Identify meaningful changes in client routines, behaviors, or wellness patterns that may warrant follow-up or monitoring.
  • Prepare professional Wellness Reports for clients, families, and partner agencies, highlighting observations and proactive wellness recommendations.
  • Communicate incidents, concerns, or significant changes promptly to designated family members or caregivers.

Client & Family Support:
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and families during working hours.
  • Answer questions, provide wellness education, and offer supportive coaching related to aging in place and healthy routines.
  • Promote a compassionate, client-centered approach in all communications and interactions.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
  • Work collaboratively with the Lifeguard Customer Support Team to address technology-related issues impacting client insights or monitoring.
  • Share observations and recommendations with the Lifeguard team to help improve client experience and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and complete required forms thoroughly.
  • Stay informed on current best practices, research, and emerging trends in geriatric wellness, aging in place, and preventive care.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ experience caring for senior populations in their homes or remotely.
  • Active and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
  • Case Management or Care Coordination experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to be flexible and open-minded, adapting to changes and challenges.
  • Proficiency in technology tools, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Google Drive, which are preferred, and comfortable with various software applications.
  • Open and curious about technology and willing to adopt to improve care.
  • Ability to work remotely.
